One of the biggest public health victories in recent Wisconsin history is the passage of the indoor workplace smoke-free air law. This “win” could not have happened without the hundreds of volunteers spending thousands of hours to move this initiative forward over the last 10+ years.

The first half of 2010 was spent educating business owners, law enforcement, local government officials, building inspectors, the media and the general public about Wisconsin‘s indoor smoke-free air law that went into effect on July 5. Thousands of contact were made  through phone calls, letters, fact sheets, presentations, press releases and face-to-face conversations.
