Winnebago County school districts and re:TH!NK work together on a variety of activities and initiatives throughout the year. The youth voice is often misunderstood or forgotten in the world of prevention, but they have a lot of insight and knowledge about what’s going on and are awesome advocates for re:TH!NK. This page highlights how the partnership between schools, youth and re:TH!NK impacts the community. Check back often to see what your school and re:TH!NK are up to.

On Monday, April 26th FACT youth at Oshkosh North tagged cars and lockers with post-it notes, customized their own t-shirts with stencils, created paper quilts and used large stencils with spray chalk all in the name of sevenfive10! Each health class chipped in throughout the day to make sure everyone in the school saw their messages. Oh...they saw the messages alright.

Students and Parents Face the Truth at Winneconne Middle School
“Hooray for Smoke-Free Air,” “Boo to Secondhand Smoke,” and “Down with Big Tobacco” were the catch phrases at Winneconne Middle in November 2009. Four Winneconne High School students helped one 6th grade class “Face the Truth” about how the tobacco industry targets kids with their products and advertising. The class also learned about what it will mean when WI goes smoke-free. They expressed their thoughts on a magazine cover display for the entire Middle School and parents to see.
