Prevention Featured at Living Green Expo

Fox 11's Good Day Wisconsin featured re:TH!NK and the Winnebago County Health Department on its live broadcast from the Living Green & Healthy Living Expo held in Oshkosh on January 28. Tobacco Sales to Minors Declining in Winnebago County

In 2009, retailers sold tobacco to minors 1 out of 4 times. But so far in 2011, virtually none of them are thanks to the efforts of health educators, the Lakeshore Tobacco Prevention Network, and the WI Wins Program. Read more in the Neenah-Menasha News-Record.

Tobacco Compliance Checks and Program Funding
Date: September 26, 2011

The state Tobacco Prevention and Control Program took a 22% funding cut in July which could threaten the downward trend of tobacco sales to minors in the multi-jurisidictional coalition of Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Winnebago Counties. Parents are the Key to Safe Teen Driving

Just in time for a new school year, re:TH!NK and the Winnebago County Health Department are promoting a new program to help reduce fatal car crashes involving teens. Parents are the Key helps increase parent/teen communication about safe driving. The program recently received media attention. Watch the WBAY story to learn more. 1-Year Anniversary of WI's Smoke-Free Air Law
Date: July 5, 2011

re:TH!NK held a celebration event at Sabre Lanes in Menasha to thank smoke-free air supporters and enjoy clean indoor air! Free pizza, soda and shoe rental accompanied $1 bowling. Our event was covered by two TV stations. Check out the WFRV story and the WBAY story.


Country USA Beverage Server Training with Winnebago County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's deputies, with assistance from re:TH!NK offered FREE training to all volunteer bar tenders at Country USA this year in an effort to reduce underage and binge drinking. WBAY's Chris Hrapsky covered the story. Click this link to watch the video clip.

County Health Rankings Released
Date: March 29, 2011

Winnebago County ranks 13th in WI for length and quality of life and 28th in WI fCountyHealthRankings_pressrelease3-29-11.pdfor factors that contribute to community health according to the report released by the UW Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. re:TH!NK is using the ranking to improve public health and working with the community to increase the positive factors that influence health.
