re:TH!NK, Winnebago's Healthy Living Partnership, is a coalition of volunteers, organizations and agencies throughout Winnebago County. A project of the Winnebago County Health Department, re:TH!NK provides prevention education, outreach programs and resources to the community, and develops and promotes local and state policies in an effort to increase the health of the residents of Winnebago County and positively impact the community environment.

There are over 100 partners affiliated with over 50 groups and organizations actively involved with re:TH!NK. We encourage you to get involved because together, we can improve the health of ourselves, our families, and our communities.

Omro Middle School Wins National Safe Routes to School Award!

Each year, the National Center for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) recognizes one SRTS program in the country for outstanding achievement in promoting safe walking and bicycling. Winnebago County's very own Omro Middle School received this national honor! Read the SRTS press release. Congrats to Omro and the East Central Regional Planning Commission for all their dedication.


Help make the Healthy Choice the Easy Choice with Point of Decision Prompts!

Sometimes you just need a quick reminder to take the stairs or to choose a healthier snack. re:TH!NK can help with Point of Decision Prompts (PODP). Making a better choice is as easy as reading a reminder prompt right where a choice is made. re:TH!NK's Workplace PODP Toolkit has several easy-to-post options to remind people to take the stairs, park further from the door and pick healthy fruits and veggies. Or print the Kid-Friendly Prompts suitable for a school, daycare, or the home (right next to the snack drawer).

There are lots of active recreational opportunities in Winnebago County. Fitness facilities, trails, parks, rental equipment providers, and basically anywhere you could be physically active are all listed in this easy-to-use inventory. As a parent, you should know that the main cause of teen car crashes is driver inexperience. The good news is that you can make a difference by getting involved with your teen's driving. Parent's Bilingual Toll Free Helpline

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed or have a specific question about your child's drug or alcohol use? The Partnership at Drugfree.org has launched a Parents Toll-Free Helpline! Call 1-855-DRUGFREE Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm. The helpline is staffed by Parent Specialists who address questions about prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery, and more. 2011 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System data available!

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the world's largest, on-going telephone health survey system, tracking health conditions and risk behaviors in the United States annually.
