Good Drugs Gone Bad: A Train-the-Trainer Workshop on Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention
Wednesday, February 24, 9:00am-12:30pm
Sunnyview Expo Center, South Wing, 500 E County Road Y, Oshkosh

The response to this train-the-trainer was amazing! Over 130 professionals gathered to increase their knowledge on the prescription drug epidemic and learn how they can deliver powerful prevention messages to youth. The attendees were trained were law enforcement, health teachers, case managers, prevention specialists, youth ministers and interested citizens. To demonstrate our dedication in supporting their prevention lessons, each person who attended received a free community DVD toolkit. Contents of the kit were supplemental games, PSA’s, ready made power-points, brochures, lesson plans, evaluation tools and more.

Thursday, December 17, 5:00pm
Primo, Oshkosh

To show our appreciation of all the hard work the coalition accomplished in 2009, we will be hosting an event to celebrate our accomplishments and recognize our partners (YOU) who have contributed to our prevention efforts and activities. We will be celebrating several milestones including passage of the statewide smoke-free air law, creation of our “Good Drugs Gone Bad” outreach toolkit about prescription drugs, coordination of five Winnebago County school districts to participate in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) and the launch of our new name and identity.
