re:TH!NK, Winnebago's Healthy Living Partnership, is the community engagement "arm" of the  Winnebago County Health Department. re:TH!NK coordinates efforts with help from our local partners to create a place where everyone has the opportunity to live the healthiest life possible.

bikesontrailCounty Receives Grant from DOT to Conduct Bike/Ped Study

In 2015, Winnebago County will begin the process to create a county-wide bicycle and pedestrian plan, focusing on connecting the rural parts of the county with existing routes/trails and other bike/ped plans in order to make biking and walking easier for residents that want to travel from "point A to point B." The County Bike/Ped Plan will compliment re:TH!NK's Drive Your Bike Campaign, which promotes and encourages use of the bicycle as a viable form of transportation.

SmartPlate is a new initiative that is helping make it easy to make smart eating choices at local food retail establishments, like LaSure's in Oshkosh. The UWO Bike Hike identifies the importance of community connectivity and resources through an “on- the-trail” experience for nursing students. Ben Krumenauer, regional Bike/Ped Coordinator and Ben Rennert from Winnebago Bicycle as they discuss the benefits of bicycling all year long.
