Active Recreation Guide: There are lots of active recreational opportunities in Winnebago County. Fitness facilities, trails, parks, rental equipment providers, and basically anywhere you could be physically active are all listed in this easy-to-use inventory. Points of Decision Prompts: Sometimes you just need a quick reminder to take the stairs or to choose a healthier snack. re:TH!NK can help with Point of Decision Prompts (PODP). Making a better choice is as easy as reading a reminder prompt right where a choice is made.

Food Map: We want to encourage our community members and families to choose healthy foods more often. Sometimes its difficult to know what's out there. If you are looking for places to buy fresh fruits and vegetables close to home, check out the Winnebago County Food Map.

 

Healthy Eating: Having access to healthy food options is an important part of re:TH!NK's work in the community. See how we can help you make the healthy choice by using our food map or trying some easy recipies!

Active Living: Looking for something active to do this weekend? Are you a business that needs tools for promoting physical activity in the workplace? 

 

Dental Health: A list of resource providers in the Fox Valley area including providers that accept MA, Medicare and patients without any insurance.

Trainings: re:TH!NK, as well as other local and state agencies, offer opportunities for community partners to enhance their skills and knowledge through a variety of trainings. 

 

Mental Health: Contact information for a variety of health and wellness service and resource providers including dental care, mental health treatment providers, and general prevention.  

Alcohol Treatment Providers: If you or someone you know has problem with alcohol, we have a list of treatment providers that serve residents of Winnebago County as well as in Wisconsin. Other information on alcohol is also available.

 

Tobacco: The Tobacco Education Program provides youth with an opportunity to dismiss their first a tobacco use/possesion citation. Also on this page are resources about quitting tobacco.

Rx and Drugs: Several local, state and national agencies partnered with re:TH!NK to create the Good Drugs Gone Bad toolkit, which contains all the materials and presentations needed to effectively combat the growing problem of pharmaceutical and OTC drug abuse. Drug treatment providers are also listed.

For Activists: Whatever the issue is, YOU have the ability to make a difference. We've provided some resources and outlets here to help you achieve change.

 

Youth Activity Guide: This guide was created by our AmeriCorps (2010-2011) Youth Coordinator. The programs conducted with youth can be found in this guide. There are printable hand outs, supply lists, teaching points, discussion questions, and other helpful resources.

2-1-1 2-1-1 Wisconsin is a simple way to connect people in need with human services. Simply by dialing 2-1-1, people are linked to information about local resources, from both government and nonprofit organizations. 2-1-1 call centers are supported by the United Way.

Wisconsin Prevention Network Serves as a coordinating body to educate the general public and funding services about primary prevention; coordinate the exchange of information with other prevention workers and groups; develop technical assistance to members in the areas of funding, program development, evaluation and other resources.

Wisconsin Clearinghouse for Prevention Resources A statewide prevention resource center that focuses on helping youth, families, schools, and communities lead healthy, productive lives through prevention education and activities.

HealthFirst Wisconsin HealthFirst WI strives to ensure everyone has the opportunity to make the choices that allow them to live a long, healthy life regardless of their level of income, education or ethnicity.

American Cancer Society Has a variety of resources that range from facts and data, prevention information, treatment options and how the community can get involved.
