Slow Roll Oshkosh

Join folks of all kinds on the once-a-month slow ride. Each ride starts at a different local business. Slow Roll is for everyone, any age, skill level, & any (and hopefully every) type of bike is welcomed. Rides at a slow pace to give everyone a chance to take in the lovely surroundings and historical highlights of the WONDERFUL city of Oshkosh...and to encourage making friends along the way.

BikeOshheader2017To celebrate National Bike Month and Fox Valley Bike Week, we're inviting bicycle riders to use the City of Oshkosh bike routes and on-street bicycle accomodations to visit participating businesses and organizations and collect stamps on a "Pedal Pass."  Start at any one of our nearly 20 businesses you choose, then ride to as many as you wish, all while enjoying the sites and sounds of Oshkosh by bicycle!

New this year is a Bike Rodeo starting at 10am sponsored by East Central WI's Safe Routes to School program and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office. Rain or shine, families should bring their bicycles and helmets! Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and participate with their children. Registration, helmet fitting and bike inspections begin at 9:30am with a safety overview starting at 10am.

All participants are invited to the Oshkosh Senior Center at 12:30pm to celebrate biking, health and safety. Raffle prizes will be given away, and light refreshments will be served. A special thanks to Oshkosh Communities at North High School for organizing the BikeOsh celebration event!

Meet in the Middle Trail Ride

Sunday, May 21, 2017 along the WIOWAUSH Trail

MeetMiddleRide logoFox Cities Cycling Association and several local municipalities are leading the second annual Meet in the Middle Bike Ride as a part of Fox Valley Bike Week. We're uniting the Fox Valley along the WIOUWASH Trail, which connects Hortonville to Oshkosh.

The Winnebago, "south end," ride starts at the Park and Ride at the intersection of County Road S and County Road Y (across from Bare Bones Brewery). Riders will "meet in the middle" at Trailhead Park in Larsen for the full 17-mile ride. The "north end" riders are starting in Hortonville heading south. 

NEW THIS YEAR: Safe Kids Fox Valley will graciously be stationed at each starting point fitting helments for kids and providing ID tags free of charge.

Snacks will be provided at Trailhead Park along with fun games and prizes! For folks that don't want to ride the entire route, turn-a-rounds will be clearly marked along the trail. Riders can continue the full length of the WIOUWASH, or head back as they like.

Movin' on the Mascoutin

A biking, walking, running and birding event sponsored by Green Lake Greenways, Movin' on the Mascoutin is a great family-friendly event to explore one of Winnebago County's hidden gems. Enjoy great bird-watching natural areas and learn about the area's railroad history.

Bike to Boogie

Kickoff your summer with Boogie and the Yo-yo'z. Join everyone on the lawn in front of Plexus in Downtown Neenah to dance in the grass and welcome summer! FREE kid's bike helmets with professional fitting. Ride your bike to the concert and recieve a raffle ticket for fun prizes.

Oshkosh Summer Fun Runs

Oshkosh Summer Fun Runs provides children ages 2-14 an opportunity to participate in a non-competitive event open to all levels and abilities. Participating children will experience the positive impact of a fun, healthy, fitness-focused series of events centered on self-esteem and physical activity. Fun runs are safe, encouraging, and family focused. Come and share the joy of fitness with your entire family! Children ages 4 and under are encouraged to have an older sibling or adult run with them. All participants will receive a participation ribbon after each run. Children who participate in three of the four runs will receive a t-shirt. Distances are approximate. Ages 6 and younger: ¼ Mile; Ages 7-9: ½ Mile; Ages 10-14: 1 mile

Neenah Fun Runs

This is the 22nd year of the Neenah Summer Fun Run series. The cut off for online registration is 11am Sunday morning! If you have not registered online and if it is past 11am on the day of the Fun Run, please come to the Appleblossom Shelter a little bit early and register in person.
