County Health Rankings Released
Now in their fift year, the County Health Rankings show that how long and how well people live depends on multiple factors. They also help to lay the groundwork for the health improvement efforts of government officials, business leaders, and citizens across the country. Winnebago County ranked #39 in Health Outcomes ("how long people live" and "how healthy people feel while alive") but #17 in Health Factors. See the full picture here.
re:TH!NK Receives USDA Grant to Increase Local Foods in School Cafeterias
re:TH!NK and the Winnebago County Health Department are pleased to announce that they are one of 71 projects spanning 42 states and the District of Columbia receiving support this year through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Farm to School Program, an effort to better connect school cafeterias and students with local farmers.
