re:TH!NK reSET is Underway!
re:TH!NK has had a lot of success over the last 7 years! re:TH!NK is looking to "reSET" our priorities and we need your input! At this re:TH!NK reSET meeting, we will reflect on what has been accomplished, look at our current landscape, and determine where to go next.
Our October 4th reSET event was the first of several rounds of discussion. Our Teams are now working to identify their top problem statements which will be shared with the Leadership Council in late November. Stay tuned for a community launch event in early 2017! Contact us with questions.
Healthier Kids Meals
Finding healthy kid's meals in restaurants is now easier by using the Kids LiveWell program. re:TH!NK is partnering with the National and Wisconsin Restaurant Associations to raise awareness of and increase restaurant offerings in the Kids LiveWell. Kids LiveWell meals are low in calories, sodium, fat, and sugar, and contain fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and l ow-fat dairy for a nutritionally balanced meal. AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin
The Harm Reduction Pillar of the Winnebago County Heroin Task Force has partnered with ARCW to bring the LifePoint Needle Exchange service to Oshkosh.The purpose of LifePoint is to reduce the transmission of HIV and Hepatitis C and other potnential harms associated with injection drug use. LifePoint seeks to reduce overdose related to injection drug use and provide infromation and referral to treatment.
The LifePoint Needle Exchange Service is open Monday-Friday 8:30A-3:30P at the Winnebago County Health Department, 2nd floor of 112 Otter Avenue.
