NEW Food Hub 2 pngThink Local with the Northeast WI Food Hub

The Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Food Hub helps restaurants, schools, hospitals, and other institutions in our area to purchase locally-grown food from area farmers and producers. The Food Hub is an online marketplace that handles the  administrative and financial aspects of the purchases; allowing institutions and farmers to build strong relationships  that focus on providing delicious, locally-grown/produced foods such as produce or yogurt for our residents.  The NEW Food Hub is an important part of area Farm to School programs.

Food Hubs really are a win-win solution that help to support the local economy and provide delicious and nutritious food for community members. They help producers by offering assistance in business development strategies, training in food storage, safety, and delivery, and technical assistance. They help institutional buyers by connecting them with farmers for various purchasing needs. They help consumers by increasing accessibility and raising awareness of where their food comes from.
