CHIP 2010-2014 Implementation Reports
A Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) is a document that helps local health departments meet the needs of their local community. The Winnebago County Health Department (WCHD) just completed implementation of its 2010 CHIP, so we put together reports documenting the progress that has been made in each priority through collaboration with WCHD and re:TH!NK's partners. Check out the reports on WCHD's website (priorities are listed under "Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Info") and see how you can get involved with the 2015 CHIP process!
4th Annual Legislative Breakfast
re:TH!NK recently held our annual legislative breakfast to inform local decision-makers and elected officials about the importance of incorporating health into all policy decisions. Many of the resources from the event have been posted on our website along with videos of the presentations.
Senior Friendly Activity Locations
As part of the promotion of National Senior Health & Fitness Day, several older adult and senior service agencies in Winebago County put together a new map of senior-friendly activity locations.
To view a larger version of the map, or to download the full brochure, click on our active communities page.
Parents Who Host Lose the Most
It’s that time of year for the Parents Who Host Lose the Most Campaign. This is a national, state, and local campaign that reminds parents that it is illegal and dangerous to host underage drinking parties. The Parents Who Host Lose the Most campaign encourages parents and the ENTIRE community to send a unified message that teen alcohol consumption is unhealthy, unsafe and unacceptable.
